Applied Macroeconomics
This professorship is part of economics and deals with questions of economics, in particular macroeconomics. This involves the macroeconomic analysis of the national economy, in particular economic fluctuations and growth. A special focus is on issues relating to labor and money market economics, e.g. the development of wages and prices, unemployment and inflation.
Prof. Balleer works at RWI Essen as co-head of the competence area Growth, Business Cycles and Public Finance.
